I think Albertans have to get over the fact that they just happen to be sitting on top of a commodity which happened to be grossly enriching 20 years ago. At one point, some province was the biggest asbestos producer and they had to get over it (despite Harper's effort to reinvigorate the industry 10 years ago). How's that gold rush in the Klondike working out?
After all, no one knows your marriage or your spouse better than you do. Texting affairs are the gateway to emotional and physical affairs. Of the infidelity cases I've dealt with in the past several years, the vast majority started out as "innocent" texting between opposite-sex friends or acquaintances. You are not over-reacting by insisting that a spouse end a texting relationship that you feel in your heart is undermining your marriage, and you are not over-reacting by treating it as a form of infidelity.
Unless and until someone gives the facts on the number of teacher retirements or teachers leaving the job on their own (perhaps even going on LTD who need to be replaced until they return), the facts are incomplete. I perceive (not only due to a fund which we don't really know how it works to backstop layoffs) that teachers will not lose their jobs. Rightfully so, there will be fewer teachers in the future, but that doesn't imply teachers lose their jobs today. And for elementary grades, only a few of them had class sizes reduced by 1 - ONE!!!
Don't try too hard. If you're trying too hard when you're first texting a girl, she'll be able to tell right away. Remember to be yourself and don't go out of your way to say something that doesn't even sound like you just because you think it will impress her. The worst part about trying too hard is that the girl will be able to tell that you're doing it right away.
An oversimplified scenario goes like this: Your spouse strikes up an opposite-sex friendship with a person at work, spin or yoga class, the gym, or through your child's school or extra-curricular activities. For some reason, they feel compelled to exchange phone numbers. There's no real need for this, although your spouse tells you that they need to stay in touch because of work or to coordinate fitness class, the kids activities, etc.
Don’t over invest your time with a person who isn’t willing to invest their time into you. Texting should be fun and adventurous, and most importantly used to set up “dates” Don’t over text someone you’re interested in, especially if it’s very early in the dating stage. Leave them hanging for a day or two, I don’t mean don’t reply to their messages if they text you. But once you say goodbye one day/night. Leave it like that for a few days, get them thinking about what you’re doing. This makes you seem much less needy and more scarce, if she is seeing other guys (which, if she is attractive, she most likely is) Sure it stings, but nothing you can do about it and being needy and always keeping tabs on her, will push her into someones else’s hands.
Using “lol” is a similar thing I like to do and recommend. It’s basically the same idea as the smiley face and can also be used to lighten the mood. A good “lol” placed in a text message shows a woman you’re making a joke. It’s not literally meant to mean that you’re “laughing out loud,” but it has transformed more into meaning that you’re joking or find something funny. (The same thing could be said for using “haha” as this is interchangeable with “lol.”)
Another important thing a text like this does is to make you seem like the one in control, not her. You show her that you’re strong enough to say something as challenging as this, stand by it, and put the ball back in her court to react to it. Finally, a text like this will most likely make her laugh. When she reads it and sees what an outlandish statement it is, she’ll probably laugh a little. It’s a funny line, and one she probably wouldn’t get too often from guys. (If she’s more of an uptight woman, go ahead and throw a “smiley face” or a “lol” at the end of it. You can also interchange the word “diddler” with any other noun of your liking—anything that you feel would be funny and challenging at the same time. I like this particular word because it really isn’t all that offending and blatantly comes across as a joke rather than something a little harsher that she might take the wrong way.)
I would say that yes, it’s likely normal considering you pointed out that even though she is fluent in English, she isn’t well written. Perhaps she realizes this about herself and texting is a source of insecurity for her. If that is the case, I can assure you that she is spending more time analyzing her OWN behavior and response than she is thinking about how much time has passed since she responded. Secondly, how do you handle it? You don’t. Be patient with her. She’ll respond when she can. If you feel texting is really getting in the way of healthy communication, you do have her phone number and she indeed has a phone – pick it up and call her. A lot easier and much less confusing for everyone involved.
For example, if you want to tease a girl but not come across as being too serious, you can say something like “Julie! Where the hell have you been? It’s been forever since I’ve seen you :)” A text like this shows her that you’re inquiring about her and would like to know where she’s been lately. At the same time, though, you’re making a bit of a joke about her not being around, so it’s a good way to ask something semi-seriously while at the same time coming across as playful.
Flirting is often used as a means of expressing and gauging romantic or sexual interest between two people. It can consist of conversation, body language, or brief physical contact. Flirting can be serious (with a potential partner) or naughty (with a friend). If you are in a mood to flirt with someone, be it your friend, then the collection of Flirt SMS, given here, would be useful to you. Send these text messages to the person with whom you want to flirt and have fun!
